The Niger
Delta Militant, has condemn the tagging of their Struggle as Criminal and
economic saboteurs by the Nigeria Military and other Authorities.
Speaking
yesterday through the Co-ordinator, Mr Asu Simeon Mbi on the stand by Defense Headquarter to sustain the military On-slaughter in the Niger Delta and purge
the region of “criminals and economic saboteurs”, the militant leader also
vowed that they will sustain their agitation.
He
however claimed to be speaking for other militant groups in his region,
said Niger Delta Militants were not criminals, describing as freedom
fighters.
According
to the leader:” The Niger Delta struggle is a collective one, and
there is no way we can be subdued. There is no going back and everybody should
sustain the struggle.
“We are still very strong in this fight. We are up and
doing and will not bow to any threat by the military. We have long been
totally neglected and enough is enough.
“We are freedom fighters and not criminals and nobody, no
authority should call us criminals or economic saboteurs. We are fighting
a just cause and no amount of threat from any quarters would dampen our spirit. He added.
