10,000 jobs: PSC shortlists 110,469 for aptitude test





The processes leading to the recruitment of 10, 000 police officers and men may soon be completed, as the Police Service Commission (PSC) Friday, said it has short-listed a total of 110, 469 applicants for aptitude tests across the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

This was as the Commission noted that at least 40,000 personnel of the Nigeria Police have been lost to retirements and other causes.
The disclosures were made in Abuja by the PSC’s Chairman, Sir Mike Okiro, who further disclosed that the applicants invited for aptitude tests, which commence on Monday, August 22, were selected from a total of 338, 250, after screening exercises.
He added that the aptitude tests will be held simultaneously across the country, even as he stated that the Commission adhered strictly to the requirements spelt out for the exercise.
A breakdown of the list showed, that 22, 454 Cadet Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs), 24, 456 Cadet Inspectors, as well as 63, 559 Constables, will be sitting for the aptitude tests.
